Kid/Young Farmers Camp
At Emerald Hill Farm we strive to bring fun and farm education to young children through our summer camp programs. We value teaching children about gardening, life cycles of chickens, goat milking, farm animal care, facts about the animals on our farm and much more.
Each camp week is spent doing hands-on activities with each of the animals around our farm as well as a special farm themed lesson each morning. We enjoy a quiet, relaxing break from the sun while we gather in our little barn for story time. Children create fun arts and crafts throughout the week, some they bring home and some we share with the farm animals. We dedicate time for free play each day and host water play day on Fridays.
Our goal for each week is that children take away knowledge of farm life, form great camp friendships and have the eagerness to return to camp again the following year!
Little Tots Parent & Me Farm Camp
Little Tots Parent & Me Farm Camp is a 2 day "mini" version of our Kid's Farm Camp at Emerald Hill Farm but geared towards children ages 18 months - 4 years old accompanied by their parent/caregiver. At Little Tots Farm Camp we will spend time with the animals on our farm, brushing and feeding them, collecting farm fresh eggs and learning all about farm animals. There will be a daily story time and craft project as well. A morning snack will be provided by Emerald Hill Farm and we encourage you to pack a lunch & drink to enjoy at the end of each day.
Farm School Days
Farm School Days are scheduled on days that local schools are closed for teacher workdays.
Children, PreK - 5th grade, will enjoy a day outside on the farm! There will be a daily farm lesson (will be changing themes, lessons and activities so each day will be different) hands on time with the animals on our farm, free play time, art and crafts and more! We will also have a 30 minute “quiet time” to allow some downtime from the day.
