ABOUT OUR FARM
Emerald Hill Farm, LLC is located in the Shenandoah Valley, nestled in the small town of McGaheysville, Virginia.
We are a family owned hobby farm raising happy and healthy animals and providing farm fresh eggs and produce to local families.
You can always expect to see lots of tiny, bouncing baby goats around our farm come spring time because we raise and breed ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf goats.
During the summer months we host a small group of young children for an educational farm summer camp. (Check out our Farm Camp tab for more information.) As well as school field trips, private farm tours & birthday parties.
The rest of our time is spent milking our goats, making cheeses and ice cream, collecting farm fresh eggs and working on our gardening skills.
Meet the Rosson's
We are the family behind Emerald Hill Farm. We purchased our little farm at auction in April 2018. It is a wild story how it all came together in God’s incredible timing. Check out our blog for the full story.
Cody and Jenni have been married since April of 2012. They like to think of themselves as the “Chip and Joanna Gaines” of the Shenandoah Valley. Jenni is the creative vision and dreamer of the duo and Cody is the hands on creative genius ready to make her visions a reality.
During the week, Cody can be found working a full-time job outside of the home but still always managing to find the hours to work another full-time job on our farm. He is our handy man, our "you tell him what you want to build and he can make it happen" kind of guy. This farm wouldn't survive without him. He also enjoys all things Star Wars, creating/editing Youtube videos, running the live streaming/production at our church and anything that allows him to be outside on the farm.
Jenni can be found tackling the home front, keeping the kids alive and doing the day to day chores for our farm animals. Besides being the homemaker and living the farm life you can find Jenni planning, creating and hosting Kid’s Farm Camps for young children each summer. Jenni also manages Emerald Hill Farm’s social media accounts. In her free time she enjoys reading, crafting and anything that revolves around organizing.
Cody and Jenni have two adorable girls, Ella and Vivienne, who enjoy living the farm life and always going along with the crazy ideas their parents come up with. They enjoy playing outside, riding bikes, art and craft activities and lots of creative play.
Welcome to our site, we are so glad you are here and we hope you stay awhile and look around!
